Linkwood
Linkwood Distillery is situated near the town of Elgin in the heart of Speyside and is known for producing light, fruity, and elegant whiskies. Linkwood was founded in 1821 by Peter Brown, a former smuggler turned legal whisky producer. In 1933, it became part of Scottish Malt Distillers (SMD), which later merged with Distillers Company Limited (DCL). It is currently owned by Diageo.
House Style & Core Range
Linkwood whiskies are known for their light, delicate and fruity new make spirit and the spirit is typically matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and sherry casks. The core range is limited to expressions bottled under Diageo's Flora & Fauna range, a series that highlights its lesser-known distilleries.
Independent Bottlings
Linkwood is loved by independent bottlers. These releases offer enthusiasts a chance to explore different expressions and maturation styles from the distillery.
Visitor Centre
Unfortunately, Linkwood Distillery does not have a visitor centre. It is primarily a working site, focused primarily on producing whisky for blending purposes.
