Belgian Whisky Academy: Another Great Weekend of Whisky Learning in Belgium
Last weekend, Luc Vandeputte and the team at Belgian Whisky Academy hosted another successful session of the Certificate in Scotch Whisky and by all accounts, it was a fantastic couple of days.

Participants explored the world of Scotch whisky in depth, learning about raw materials, production and maturation all brought to life through guided tastings and lively discussion.

One enthusiastic participant summed up the experience perfectly:
“All information in the course is well explained and interaction in the classroom session was fabulous… 10/10.”
They also highlighted some of the things that made the weekend particularly memorable:
- Engaging interaction with instructors Luc, Fernand Dacquin, Louis Schrevens and Luc Pauwels
- Group discussions with fellow whisky enthusiasts
- Hands-on whisky tasting sessions led by Keeper of the Quaich and whisky-writer Fernand Dacquin
- A great location for learning and tasting together. Louis Schrevens' whisky cave is second to none!

At Edinburgh Whisky Academy, we love seeing our Approved Course Providers build such welcoming whisky communities and Luc and the Belgian Whisky Academy team continue to create an environment where curiosity, conversation and great whisky go hand in hand.
